Foxy and the hare 2010-09-19 |
I was walking on the yard. Suddenly I heard a sound.
Something was running away.
It was a hare! We call this kind for "Woods hare" It lives here in the woods. But there is no translation for it. They call it in English for mountain hare. The Latin name is: (Lepus timidus) This hare is white in winter. I have seen white hare in the woods too. We have a lot of woods around here.
The hare was looking at me. But I was careful not to scare away it.
This is the reason that hare was on the yard. There are apple trees and the apples that had fallen down from the trees. This apple was a delicious meal for the hare.
This was yummy. | |
I want more. | |
Searching for more apples.
Resting a while. | |
Still searching for more apples.
Looking at me again. | |
Listening | |
Still listening. | |
The hare jumped to the other side of the bushes.
The hare under the apple trees.
A crow was looking at me and the hare of top of the satellite dish
I found a beautiful fly agaric on the yard. (Amanita muscaria)
Another beautiful fly agaric.
Now the hare was in the arbour.
Looking at me again. | |
But I did not scar the hare. He was sitting and relaxing.
Still in the arbour. | |
Searching for more food.
. | |
Now it was time for the hare to clean his coat.
I was happy I had a chance to observe the hare and take pictures of it.
When I went in I could see the hare from the window. He was still sitting in the arbour. The hare disappeared when it was getting dark.
