Foxy and the horse Stjärnblixten

The horse Stjärnblixten pulled the carriage this year. Stjärnblixten means "Star lightning". He was rather wild. He was a trotting horse. But he was always a calm and a nice horse when he was working with the horse keeper.
2010-08-17.  This is Stjärnblixten. He has such a long name and that's why they called him only for Blixten.
2010-08-17. And this is Ina. A mare.

Stjärnblixten was always together in the pasture with Ina. She was a calm and nice horse. But she was the dominant too. Even though Blixten was bigger and stronger.
2010-07-11. But Ina also was strong and could pull a smaller carriage.
Blixten did not like it to be alone in the pasture and went neighing and running around. On this picture he is neighing and rather upset. The small children thought this was scary.
When they came back with Ina to the pasture, Blixten was rather upset and wanted to escape from the pasture. But then the horse keeper told him to calm down.
The next time Ina was out with the woman, the horse keeper took  out Blixten and was riding on him.
The woman was driving the carriage with Ina, and the man was riding on on Stjärnblixten. Now Blixten was calm.

2010-08-16. Here they were giving Ina a shower. It was hot that day and the horse liked the shower.
2010-08-16. But just after the shower Ina was rolling around in the pasture.
2010-08-17. Blixten liked it to pull the carriage.
2010-08-17. The staff was always doing the first ride to test that everything was OK.
2010-08-17. Me on my way to make a ride. Ove took the pictures.

2010-08-17. I took the pictures with my right hand and was holding in the carriage with my left hand.
2010-08-17. It was beautiful in the lane.
2010-08-17. I enjoyed this lane so much
2010-08-17. Now the horse went to the right and passed the café.
2010-08-17. Later we passed the school house.
And we passed the pond.
There were ducks in the pond.
2010-08-17. The horse by the pond.
2010-08-17. Here we passed the museum building.
2010-08-17. Now the horse had to climb a hill and went trotting.
2010-08-17. He was allowed trot in this lane.
2010-08-17. I was holding hard in the carriage. And felt the wind.
2010-08-17. Me and the trotting horse in the woods. It was exciting. Wheeeeee!
2010-08-17. Stjärnblixten was "flying" over the path.
2010-08-17. Ove was standing beside the path and took a picture when we passed.
2010-08-17. Now we were back to the yard.
We passed the piggies.

2010-08-17. After the ride I petted Stjärnblixten.  I was so happy for this ride.
2010-08-17. The horse keeper was caring for Stjärnblixten after the ride.
2010-08-17. Here some pictures there he gave Stjärnblixten a shower.

2010-08-17. Now Stjärnblixten was on his way to the pasture.
2010-08-17. But Blixten was first allowed to eat some grass.

2010-08-17. One of the women in the staff was rushing to the horse keeper and told him that Blixten was acting strange. He was turning  around and around in circles. Like a dog does when he will lie down in his dog bed. But Blixten went turning around a long time.

Then the horse keeper went to Blixten and talked with the horse. He told us that he is acting like that because he want to roll around on the ground but could not decide how he wanted to do this.
2010-08-17. Here Blixten was turning around in the pasture behind me.
2010-08-20. This day they should have the horse out later . There should come some guests and ride in the carriage. Then the horse keeper told me that I could come before the guests arrived..
2010-08-20. Blixten was waiting for me :)
2010-08-20. Now the horse was running  in other lanes.
2010-08-20. It was a real sightseeing around the whole place.
2010-08-20. There was a woman sitting beside the horse driver and I got her arm on the pictures.

2010-08-20. When we passed the sheep they said "Baaaa". I took this picture from the carriage.
The sheep liked it to stand on the big rock. This picture was taken 2010-03-15.

We passed the cows.
2010-08-20. We also passed the goat who said "Baaaa" when we passed.
2010-08-20. Here we passed the museum house.
2010-08-20. The red house at the left is a part of the marime museum.
2010-08-20. Now the horse was trotting. I got a part of the woman in front of her on the picture.
2010-08-20. Here some children were in the carriaga. I took a picture there the horse was trotting.
I have wonderful memories about Stjärnblixten. Two happy people and a horse on the picture :-)
