Foxy's
winter adventures
 Part 1

Winter at Gammlia open air museum and in the woods by Gammlia.
Happy me "Dark Olive Foxy" in the woods. It was only -5 degrees Celsius and then I could have this winter jacket.
The view from my kitchen window. The dusk light and the blue sky gives the snow a soft blue colour.

All these pictures are taken 2012-01-12.

It was gorgeous outside. The snow stuck on the trees.
I was stunned!
This is the church at the open air museum Gammlia.
And this is the over snowed pond at Gammlia.
Everything was snowed over. This is the dancing pavilion.
The snow is deep and you can't walk here. But you can ski here. There is a ski track in the snow.
The staff of the open air museum plowed away some paths with a tractor so we could walk there.
And the lit a fire so we cold warm us or grill a sausage.
The fire looks warm and cosy in the cold.
The trees were painted with snow on every twig and branch.
I will not type a text under all picture. Just enjoy the pictures.

The café house in the distance. It's closed in winter.

It was beautiful with the coloured sky. The sun was going down. At three o'clock in the afternoon it should be dark.
.
This looks like a painting.
Here the goat and the hens use to be in summer.
The barn. But it's closed in winter.
.
All the houses are closed and only opn nin the summer. But you can walk around in the area.
Here I use to be in the horse carriage. Now this path is a ski and walking path.
The snowy fir trees were gorgeous!
The old windmill behind the trees.
This is stunning!
This path was not plowed with a common snow plow. It was made with  a snowmobile. and that's why the path is soft and good for skiing
The snow on the ground is about 50 centimetres so you can't walk there.
.
Someone is skiing on the path.
I remember that I hear the blackbird singing on this place. Now most of the birds moved to survive.
You can see the track of skies on the left.
Another skier.
Somboday walked to the door and made a little track.
The woods.
I'm stunned of all these beautiful fir trees covered with snow.
.
Here the horses use to be in summer.
The open air museum in the snow.
Everything looks so unreal for me. Like I was on a place far away in the country.
.
This is the Christmas tree at Gammlia.
The barn.
The men in the distance are some of the museum staff. They look after the place and take away the snow near the houses. A tractor use to plow the paths.
Snow on the railing.
.
When I was here at the Christmas market, and Ove took a picture of me by the trees, there was no snow at all.
Icy window. They do not heat the houses in winter. And these houses only have an open fireplace there you burn firewood.
The barn. The woods in thebackground.
They also plowed this path so I could walk here. In summer the horse is going here with the carriage.
The pasture there the horses are in summer.
The other side of the horse pasture.
The sunset behind the trees.
The sunset and the fire.

The sheep are in this pasture behind the fence in summer.

The fence was painted with snow and white frost.
