The snowman at Gammlia 4

gammlia-winter 2019-1

Me walking again. It's peaceful to be out in the woods.
The snow was gliding down from the roof. The temperature was 0° Celsius. The snow disappeared from the trees.
Frosty was now a snowman made of ice.
Hello Frosty :-)
.
There had been hard wind some days. Then I did not walk here. Many twigs had blown off the trees.
Even though there was no snow on the trees, there was still much snow on the ground.

Back in the woods again.
A beautiful sunrise.
The ambulance helicopter was flying over.
There were still Christmas decorations by the pink house.

I was out in afternoon this day.
Now the paths were slippery. The maintenance had plouged the paths and sprinkled grit in them.
.
Frosty's nose was gone and his head started melting. Some bottoms on his body were gone. Somebody had put a fir twig on his body.
The front of his hat was on the side.
I told Frosty I had to hurry.
Soon it should be dark.
The ski trail in the afternoon.
The Christmas tree was still on the yard.
The truck of the maintenance. He was in the house and was waving to me from the widow.
There was still a skier on the trail.
The ambulance helicopter was flying over. I took a picture. It looks like the helicopter is a decoration in the top of the tree, instead of a star. It looks so funny :-D
The lights at Gammlia turned on.
.
It was getting darker.
I had to go through the spooky old woods to the lane.
There was a high pile of snow by the lane.

Somebody had turned Frosty's hat the right way again.
Also today I was at Gammlia in the afternoon. I was a little while in the museum. But could not stay there a long time.
There was a warning for hard wind. It was getting darker and I heard the wind in the high fir trees. I hurried home.

Back again at Gammlia. There were squirrel prints on the roof of the Forest Sami House.
The staff had taken away the decorations and the buckets by the pink house at January 10, the day before the storm. I was not out at January 11 when there was hard wind.
Frosty's hat had blown off. I could not find it. Probably people took it inside. Somebody had given Frosty a new mouth. This mouth was made of grit.
There were many great tits under a bird feeder.
I was a while in the museum today too. You may not go in there with spike shoes. You must take off them. But the museum has a basket with slippers you can put on.
A blue tit
Several bottoms fell off the snowman. As he now is made of ice you can't put back them. I found a bottom under the snow. Took it home as a memory of Frosty.

I could be out this day too.
There were some bullfinches under the bird feeder. I got one of them on a picture.
Frosty's head looks smaller now.
But it was warmer. There was frost at night, and in day time just a few plus degrees. But the cold should come back.
The ski trail.

It started snowing again at night. And at Januari 14 it was snowing all day. I was not at Gammlia that day. But new magical adventures were waiting for me at  January 15. In the next post.
