Sleigh ride, the woods
and the Christmas market

2012-12-08. I had a sleigh ride with this horse.
2012-12-08. The name of the horse was Helge.
2012-12-08. I felt so happy :-)

2012-12-08. It was so nice to hear the sleigh bells.
2012-12-08. Here Helge had not started yet. A man who was a visitor at Gammlia took the pictures of me with my camera.

2012-12-08. They had candle lights made of ice by the museum.

2012-12-08. Here a blacksmith was selling things. He made a big moose of iron. The moose was only for showing.

2012-12-08. How I loved it to walk here.

2012-12-08. A young man who was a visitor took the picture of me by the Sami house.
2012-12-08. There was a woman telling stories for children. I was listening to the stories too. It was so peaceful sitting here and look the cosy light.
2012-12-08. They  had a fire and a candle outside the house.

2012-12-08. Here is the candle. It's a paraffin candle for outdoor use. We call if for Marshal.
2012-12-08. When it's getting dark, it looks so nice with these candles.
2012-12-08. Several people were walking in the woods.
2012-12-08. Snow on rowan berries.
2012-12-08. When the leaves are gone, the berries are still on the trees and these are food for the birds.
2012-12-08. This is such a peaceful picture.

2012-12-08. I went back to the market searching for the Sami who is selling smoked reindeer meat. But she was not there this year :-(

2012-12-08. Here they were selling bird houses, candles and tomtar (santa)
2012-12-08.In former times they had this kind of Christmas dinner. They had no ham. Because in the hard climate there was not so much food. Pigs eat the same food as people. So they could not keep a pig. People needed all the food they could get. They had only animals who were eating grass and hay. Here they had sheep on the table and porridge made of barley. And bread baked of barley meal.

2012-12-08. Another torch. Later it should be dark while the market still was going on. But I walked home before darkness.

2012-12-07. Happy me in the flower shop. I bought flowers for Oves birthday.
2012-12-07. The flowers. I bought them before his birthday because then he could enjoy them the whole weekend.
