A walk in the Gammlia woods
"The land of Narnia"

2013-02-03. Me in the land of Narnia. Where is my face :-)
2013-02-03. Today the woods were so gorgeous.
2013-02-03. The sun was shining and the sky was clear blue.
2013-02-03. The snow was painted in blue in the shadow and in white in the sunlight.
2013-02-03. All the trees were painted in white.
2013-02-03. I took this picture from the road on the edge of the woods.
2013-02-03. Because of a snow storm some days ago, the snow stuck on everything.
2013-02-03. The woods looked like a fairy tale land. It's always dark on this path.
2013-02-03. But in the distance you can see the light
2013-02-03. There are high spruce trees in these woods.
2013-02-03. The trunks of the trees in the middle are brown, but now they are white.
2013-02-03. The street by the edge of the woods.
2013-02-03. A street at Berghem.
2013-02-03.
2013-02-03. At the right on the photo is a trash bin. But you only see a little of the top. The trash bin was almost snowed over.
2013-02-03. Normally the trunks are brown. But now they are white.
2013-02-03. It looks so unreal. But also magical.
2013-02-03. The trees are high and the sun does not reach to the ground.
2013-02-03. Spruce.
2013-02-03. It looks like sombody had painted the woods.
2013-02-03. The light in the distance.
2013-02-03. Blue light in the shadow.
2013-02-03. You can only walk on the path. The snow in the woods is too deep.
2013-02-03. More white trees.
2013-02-03. The high trees.
2013-02-03. The sun is shining through the trees.
2013-02-03. The blue sky over the trees.
2013-02-03. Gammlia.
2013-02-03. Gammlia. No animals can be in the pasture in winter.
2013-02-03. Much snow.
2013-02-03. Pasture at Gammlia. Sometimes I wonder if the snow will disappear in spring. Yes it does. And then the grass will be green again.
2013-02-03. I'm so glad they plow the paths at Gammlia so you can walk there. But the houses are closed in winter.
2013-02-03. Going to the woods again.
2013-02-03. It's lighter on this path and it's always so peaceful to walk here.
2013-02-03. The light is different on the pictures.
2013-02-03. Is there a bear standing in the distance? (at the right)
OF COURSE NOT !! A bear is hibernating in winter.
2013-02-03. It's just the wooden reindeer standing there.
2013-02-03. But I know from people there are some roe deer in these woods.  Some people also have seen them. But I never have seen them.
2013-02-03. There were no people in the woods. Because it was cold.
2013-02-03.
2013-02-03. These fir trees are so beautiful.
2013-02-03. Peaceful.
2013-02-03. In summer I have a 5 minutes walk home from this place. But the way is blocked by a lot of snow and by snow hills.
2013-02-03. Much snow on the roof of the storing house.
2013-02-03. I love it to see the light through the trees.
2013-02-03. The North Sami house, the windows on the sides of the house are now snowed over.
2013-02-03. More painted trees.
2013-02-03. The storing house for food with a lot of snow on the roof.
2013-02-03. The snow covered trees were bowing over the path,
2013-02-03. My hand could reach the bowed tree.
2013-02-03. I had to bow too, so I could go under it..
2013-02-03. It was real nice with these "tunnels" of trees over the path.
2013-02-03.
2013-02-03. A funny tree.
2013-02-03. The path that goes to Gammlia
2013-02-03.
2013-02-03. Beautiful with the sun shining through the trees.
2013-02-03. On my way back to Gammlia.
2013-02-03. This house looks real pretty in the snow.
2013-02-03. There is ice on the path because snow was melting on the place and then freezing to ice. It's very slippery. I did not walk there.
2013-02-03. Gammlia.
2013-02-03. The pond  is snowed over. There is ice under the snow.
2013-02-03. I had to move on. I should go on a story telling afternoon at the house named Tráhppie.
I walked to Tráhppie, it's a café. I had hot coffee and Sami bread with smoked reindeer meat. The Sami flag is flying on the house

(I took the picture of this house 2013-02-12)
