| In this site I will tell about the wolf (Canis lupus) in the zoo in Lycksele | |

| 2006-07-25. Here the gate was open and I was standing near these wolves. This was real exciting. | |

| 2007-08-06. Here I was standing in front of the wolf while the gate was open. The wolf was looking at me but did not harm me. The wolves are only waiting for the zoo keeper who came in with the food. This wolf is the leader of the pack and he will get the food first | |

| 2002. When the zoo keeper opened the gate, I was in direct contact with the wolf. I hurried to take some pictures. It was a great experience standing so near this wolf. | |

| 2002. Now the leader of the pack has got the food. And the zoo keeper fed the others. There was one wolf that dare not came to the feeding place. The zoo keeper threw the food to that wolf. He told that this was outcast of pack. That wolf was not big. But the zoo keeper kept en eye on it. I felt sorry for that wolf. | |

| 2002. When the gate was closed the leader wolf was standing near the zoo keeper. The hierarchy is strict in the wolf pack. | |

| 2000. That year there was a female zoo keeper feeding the wolves. She told that the wolves got food that includes a lot of vitamins and minerals. All the predators got this in the food. But not the bears. The got extra food beside the meat. | |

| .......... I was Rödluvan = Red Riding Hood. But the wolves were nice wolves, and did not eat Rödluvan. :-) | |
