The Bridge Park

Here I'm for the first time in the new Bridge Park (Broparken)
The park got it's name because it's lying near "The Old Bridge". On the old bridge you only may walk and bike.
The park is lying on a hillside.

From the upper side you have a nice view over the river.
It's nice to walk there.

The other dates I was alone to the park.

This is an oak. It's not common with oaks here. An oak can't grow in wild. A gardener need to plant a bigger oak and then care for it.

The flower beds are in the upper side of the park.

They had this year many blue and purple flowers.

The light brown parts in the park is a kind of rubber. It feels soft and a little elastic.

Here it's spring and the sky is clear. I love the clear blue colour of the river and the light green grass.

2014-08-14. The piano
There was a piano in the Bridge Park. (Broparken) Somebody was playing on it.
This was an event of Umeå Culture Capital 2014. They hade taken a piano, (that should be thrown away later), to Broparken and you could play on it. As you see the sign is in English: Play me.
When I was 11 years old I had piano lessons and could play piano. But I did not continue play piano.  Now I played on this piano.
But it was not easy because most of the keys had been destroyed of the rain. I wanted to play "Down by the river side", that should fit so well. But I could play with one finger: "Music, music, music" on the black keys. Most the white keys did not work any more.
It was great to sit and play and have the lovely river in front of me. This is a nice memory for me :-)

I got this memory. Here I was young and playing the piano. This evening all piano pupil should play and show this for the parents who visited the show. That's why I was dressed up and had my hair done. I don't know the date, but I think was about 14 years old.
It's always so peaceful by the river.
I never will forget this piano.

I was in the park again.
But this time only a short while. Because I should go to another park  on the other side of the river.
I should cross the old bridge.

Still flowers but soon they should be gone.
This park is so special.

The staircase down to the walking path by the river. That path is called "Strandpromenaden.
2008-07-17. A picture of the old Bridge park. They had made  little beach and plant small palm trees there.
2008-07-17. They only had these in the middle of summer. The rest of the year they were taken indoors. They are not in the new Bridge park. But the town still have them.
