Different walks
 by the river.
Part B, and in our kayak on the river.

 

In our kayak on the Ume River.
Old pictures of the 1970's.

Here I'm sitting by the river in the 1970's. We should launch our kayak here. Then I had my old Fjällräven Greeland jacket on. and my Greenland trousers.
Ove was looking at the place before we launched our kayak. Ove had his beige Greenland jacket on.
My by the kayak that now was in the water. I have my life vest on.
I was sitting in the front of the kayak and Ove was sitting behind me. I took pictures. It was great to be on the river.
We enjoyed the smooth river.
Another time we were out when it was windy and there were waves on the river. But the kayak is safe. It's a wide kayak made for tourists and not for competitions. There is a tube filled with air inside the boat. This boat was made so it will not to tip over so easy.
Here we were on the river in the evening.
Later we saw the sunset over the river.

A walk to the store EXPO

2013-05-28. I walked to the bridge named "Kyrkbro" = The Church Bridge.

A short visit by the river

2013-05-31. Our town is on a hill so you need to go downhill or go down a staircase to come to the river.
2013-05-31. They are building a new park here. Soon it will be ready.

2013-05-31. This is the path I walk between town and the marina. This path goes west. This is a beautiful place with a hill at the right and the river at the left. I took this picture from the old bridge

2013-05-31. I took a break and was sitting on a bench a while. I had my jacket, my backpack and the water bottle with me.

2013-05-31. The bird cherry had bloomed over. Small white leaves were falling off the trees. Some of them fell in my hood :-)

2013-05-31. I saw these birds on the river. It was too far away to see what is was. I had not my big camera with me that day.

Along walk by the river at west.

2013-06-07. On my way to the river I saw these beautiful lilacs.
2013-06-07. This time the light was not as clear as before. There were thin clouds making the light dim.
2013-06-07. But still the walk was nice and peaceful
2013-06-07. Now all the dandelions had bloomed over and they had white clocks.
2013-06-07. There were a lot of these wild flowers. We call then "hund kex" means "dog biscuits".  The Latin name is: Anthriscus sylvestris.

2013-06-07. There were not many people walking here today. I only met a few who were running and 2 owners with their dog.
2013-06-07. Here I could work out the bad things that worried me, and take a deep breath. And let peace and happiness comme in my soul.
