Geese, ducks
and sheep
Part 1

 

One of my favourite walks in summer is this walk to the pond named Mariehem pond. And after that back through the woods home
2013-06-19. To come to that pond I first need  to pass some streets with gardens. I enjoy the flowers in the gardens very much.
After that I need to pass a road in the woods. You can bike here. Cars can drive here but only the cars who need to do work in the woods or by the power (transmission) line and the distribution plant.
After that you come to fields. This is not pasture land. It are fields for sports and recreation. There are baskets for throwing in Frisbee. Both on these fields and in the woods. And people can let their dog run there. I remember we had from work (for many years ago) sport and picnic in these fields.

I love the woods and the fields. It's so peaceful there.

2013-05-22. A creek is going through the fields. The creek will later pass the university and the hospital.
2013-05-22. The geese were not put out this day yet. But to my surprise I saw a goosander couple. It's not common they are here so I was very surprised.

2013-05-22. There was also a goldeneye in the pond.

2013-05-22. The duck couple who was diving came in land to eat the bread I had with me.

2013-06-09. The pond was smooth and the reflecting of the clouds in the water was gorgeous.

2013-06-09. The geese were now by the pond. But they were on a place there workers had been digging. We could not reach each other.

2013-06-09. Later I saw she had 8 ducklings.

2013-06-09. I thought the mother had 8 ducklings. But now I saw she had 10 ducklings. I got them all on one picture.

2013-06-09. The geese were sleeping in the grass.
2013-06-09. I could get better geese pictures with the telephoto lens. At the right a gull is flying over the water.
2013-06-09. One of the geese was watching while the others could rest.

2013-06-09. I moved on and walked long way to the ski hill. The hill is called Bräntberget.

2013-06-09. There was a big pasture with sheep. I got all ten sheep on one picture

2013-06-09. A famer put out these sheep en let them graze on different paces. Then the workers do not need to cut the grass with a machine. The sheep also are there for comfort
2013-06-09. They did shear the sheep before the came to this pasture.
2013-06-09. This pasture was a lovely place for the sheep.
2013-06-09. There is a lot of grass and there is a bathtub filled with water.

2013-06-09. People liked it to go and look at the sheep. Some children gave them fire weed. The sheep loved fireweed more as grass.
2013-06-09. Some sheep succeeded it to eat outside the pasture. He, he."The grass is greener at the other side" :-)
2013-06-09. I feel happy they have the sheep there.

2013-06-09. A wooden Sami kåta. This was before a restaurant. But now it's only standing there empty.
2013-06-09. This road has asphalt so the cars and working trucks can go there.
