I made a painting in the Glass House.
This is what I painted. An expressive painting about longing for spring and colours.

2011-01-20. A sunny  morning with white frost on the trees. The workers were out to take away the snow. At the right a tractor.
2011-01-20. A snow blower is blowing snow in a truck. The truck takes the snow to a dumping tip
2011-01-20. But not all snow is taken away. There are walls of snow beside every road. This is in the street there I  live. In the background the house there I live.
2011-01-20. I took the bus to the outskirts of town. Here you can see the frozen Ume River.
2011-01-20. I should go shopping in the store Maxi.
2011-01-20. The white frost in the low sunlight was gorgeous. But it was bitterly cold. And the heaters in the bus did not work.
2011-01-20. I was shivering of cold. And had hot tea and hamburger at Mc Donald's.
2011-01-20. Now I was in the store. Here it was spring.
2011-01-20. They had beautiful flowers in all colours. After the visit in the store, I took the bus to town.
2011-01-20. I went to the Glass House. Beautiful coloured painting were hanging in the windows.

2011-01-20. Children and also adults were allowed to paint. A big transparent plastic sheet was on a table. And you could paint on a part of it.

This painting was made of an adult. I liked it very much. But here it's still on the table and that’s why you see some reflections of the lamps on it.
2011-01-20. This was painted by 2 adults. When all the part of the plastic were painted, the kindergarten teachers cut it in two strips with 5 paintings each. And then they let it hang and dry. After that they put the parts in the window.

The paint they use is a special glass paint that also can be used on plastic.

2011-01-21. I walked to the bus again. A cold, hard wind was blowing. I needed my hood.

In the distance you can see "Snow smoke". When it's cold and dry snow is blowing up. It looks like fog. This is dangerous when you are on the road. Then you can't see the road.

2011-01-21. This sculpture is the  logotype of the town Umeå. I like the logotype. A red heart with as big smile :-)
